mobileStorm Spins Out mPulse To Tackle Healthcare Opportunity
Los Angeles-based mobile marketing firm mobileStorm said today that it has spun off a new startup, mPulse, which is aiming to address a number of opportunities in the healthcare communications area. mPulse said it will help health plans, hospitals, pharmacies, wellness companies, and exchanges better engage with consumers. The two companies said the new company will extend the technology and capabilities developed by mobileStorm over the past fifteen years. mobileStorm will continue to be headed by Jared Reitzin, with the new healthcare startup being led by Chris Nicholson. Nicholson was most recently VP and COO at Humana Wellness. mobileStorm said the split comes due to a the success and amount of business out of its healthcare division.
