Miso Robotics Raises $3.1M For Burger Flipping Robot
Pasadena-based Miso Robotics, a developer of burger-flipping, artificial intelligence-driven robots aimed at the restaurant industry, has raised $3.1M in a funding round. The funding came from Newport Beach-based Acacia Research Corporation, along with others. According to Acacia Research, the new funding will go towards delivering "Flippy" the robotic kitchen assistant to the market. David Zito is CEO of Miso Robotics, and the company was co-founded by John Miller, who also founded the Cali Group, the parent company of restaurant chain CaliBurger. Cali Group is also an investor in Super League Gaming, FunWall, and PopPacks. Zito was previously at Goto/Overture, Socialvibe/TrueX Media, Cramster, and PayMyBills.com. More information »
