MicroPower Technologies Steals Away Engineering VP From 3D Robotics
San Diego-based MicroPower Technologies, which develops wireless, solar-powered surveillance cameras, said this week that it has named a new VP of Engineering. The company said Tim McConnell--the former VP of Engineering for high flying drone developer 3D Robotics--joins the company in that role to spearhead the company's technology strategy and development, and lead its engineering team. McConnell has previously also served at Solekai Systems, among other companies. MicroPower has previously raised funding from Karmel Capital, Motorola, and the Tech Coast Angels. MicroPower also was part of the EvoNexus startup incubator.
