MediaPass Gets Win in Alabama
MediaPass, which develops online paywall software for newspapers and other publications, has scored another win today, saying that it has added Consolidated Publishing of Alabama as a customer. MediaPass said that Consolidated is using the MediaPass software for four of its online newspapers. MediaPass is helping publishers as paywalls on content have increasingly become more popular. In the case of Consolidated Publishing, the publisher's online newspapers are charging $3 per week for access to content on any, Internet-enabled device. MediaPass, which is headed by Malcolm Casselle, says it now has over 1,000 other news and content sites using its software.
