Maps.com Targets Newspapers
Santa Barbara-based Maps.com is launching a new division targeting its mapping products and solutions to newspapers. The new Classified Concepts Division is developing products and services targeted at newspapers, specifically at the real estate and classified ad departments. Maps.com has developed an application which creates a locator map for newspaper classified sections, showing multiple listing open houses, garage sales, rental properties, and community events, or retail advertisers. The application is being used by newspapers such as the Fresno Bee, Santa Barbara News-Press, and others to attract more readers to its classified and real estate sections. The maps also include an electronic version that can be tied into a newspaper's web site with the same information.
