Leap Wireless Shuffles Board
San Diego-based Leap Wireless, a provider of wireless communications services, said Wednesday that James D. Dondero, of investment firm Highland Capital Management, has resigned. Dondero said that the move is something he had been considering in light of his other responsibilities and developments with Leap Wireless. Leap Wireless is in the midst of evaluating an offer from MetroPCS for an acquisition. Dondero's departure follows the recent resignation of Amin Khalifa, the firm's CFO, who left last week after the MetroPCS offer came to light.
