LeadsMarket.com Donates $10,000 To Hurricane Ravaged St. Croix
Los Angeles-based LeadsMarket.com, a technology company which operates an online platform for buying and selling leads, calls, and clicks for consumer financial products, said it has donated $10,000 to benefit the island of St. Croix and the Virgin Islands, which was devastated by Hurricane Irma in September. According to LeadsMarket, the donation went to the Cane Bay Cares Initiative, which provides direct relief to Cane Bay Partner's employees and to the citizens of St. Croix to help them rebuild their lives. LeadsMarket.com said that St. Croix's government agencies report that as many as 73% of St. Croix's civilians still are without power three months after the hurricane. A large swath of the Caribbean, plus Puerto Rico, are still struggling to recover from the worst hurricane season in memory, with Hurricane Irma and Maria in particular wiping out entire islands and nations the Caribbean. Irma destroyed the island of Barbuda in September, depopulating the island for the first time in 300 years, and Maria entirely cut off the island nation of Dominica from the world for three days and damaged 98 percent of the roofs of that island, turning that island into a "giant debris field".
