Laserfiche Sues SAP Over Trademark
Long Beach-based Laserfiche, a developer of enterprise content management products, said Monday afternoon that it has sued SAP America, SAP AG, and SAP Global Marketing over the trademark Run Smarter. The firm said that it has been using Run Smarter as a trademark since 2004, and that SAP has been using its trademark without permission. The firm said the lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court in Los Angeles (CV10-7843 JFW). SAP is rolling out a "Run Better", "Run Smarter" and "Run Bolder" ad campaign this month in a series of television advertisements.
