Knowledge Adventure Gets $5M Funding Round
Torrance-based Knowledge Adventure, a developer of educational software and online virtual worlds for children, said today that it has raised an additional round of funding worth $5M. The funding came from its existing investors, Azure Capital and TeleSoft Partners. According to Knowledge Adventure, the funding will go to support its shift of focus from educational software to an adventure-based, 3D virtual world for kids. Knowledge Adventure is developing a 3D virtual world focused on 3-to-10 year olds; the funding will be used to hire a new team of people to develop its 3D virtual world environment.
