Interview with Noramay Cadena, MiLA Capital
For our interview today, we have Noramay Cadena, a Partner at MILA Capital, who spoke to us earlier this year about the venture capital investment firm and what it looks for in entrepreneurs. The video version of this interview is here.
What is MiLA Capital?
Noramay Cadena: At MiLA Capital, we're creating community around early stage founders who are buildling hard things.
What are hard things?
Noramay Cadena: We're investing at the intersection of tech, manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics. Really things you can touch with your bare hands.
At what stage do you make investments?
Noramay Cadena: We invest really early on, at the pre-seed and seed stage. We like companies that have a proof of concept and big ideas, but really want a network of people around them to help make them successful.
How far along is your firm?
Noramay Cadena: We're about four and a half years into our firm's history. We're investing out of our first fund. We've made close to 20 investments, and we're currently into the process of scaling what we do.
What kind of companies are most interesting to you?
Noramay Cadena: We're interested in companies tackling all kinds of big challenges, doing hard things, in clean tech, new materials, mobility, biotech, food tech, these are some of the areas we are interested in.
What's the best way for an entrepreneur to reach out to you?
Noramay Cadena: The best way for an entrepreneur to reach us, is to email one of the partners, find us at an event, we have a global presence. So, come find us, tell us what you're working on, and start a conversation.
Thanks!
