indie Acquires GEO Semiconductor For $180M

Aliso Viejo-based indie Semiconductor, which develop software for the auto industry, said last week that it has acquired GEO Semiconductor. GEO is a developer of video processors for automotive cameras. indie said it will pay $180M for GEO Semiconductor, split between $90M in cash plus stock, with additional earnout possible. indie said the deal will help it extend its sensor portfolio to include radar, LiDAR, ultrasound, and computer vision technology.
