HONK Reports Increased Roadside Assistance Calls
Los Angeles-based HONK Technologies, which develops a roadside assistance and towing app, and is led by tech entrepreneur Corey Brundage, says it has saw a 54 percent increase in the number of "touchless" roadside assistance calls it handled in the first six months of 2020. The company said those numbers demonstrate the company's "growth and momentum" despite the pandemic. The company said it is using machine learning and automation to expand its operational efficiency. HONK also said it has increased its headcount in operations more than 20% in the last sixty days as a result of the growth and demand, with plans to further increase headcount in coming months--all fully remote. Honk has raised $30M in funding, from such investors as Altpoint Ventures, Structure Capital and Venture 51. .Brundage had previously founded such companies as SendLove.to and Fonality.
