Healthiest Cities Are San Francisco, Miami, San Diego, Says Mindbody

San Luis Obispo-based wellness business software developer Mindbody says that it has created a ranking of the “healthiest cities in America”, ranking San Francisco, Miami, and San Diego at the top of a list of its 10 healthiest cities. The company said it surveyed over 17,000 adults in the 50 most populated U.S. cities and ranked them by its own proprietary scoring algorithm. The company did not describe its exact algorithm, but said it ranked health based on “seven dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, environmental, social, and occupational”. Mindbody develops software used to manage wellness businesses, including client scheduling, marketing, and other tools. The company’s top ranking cities:
