H.Bloom Expands Into Los Angeles
H.Bloom, the luxury, subscription floral and gift delivery service backed by Shoedazzle's Brian Lee, is expanding into Los Angeles today, saying that it will begin offering its services starting today. H.Bloom said it will provide its luxury floral arrangements, plants, and gifts to Los Angeles, both via its subscription service, as well as with its one-time gift delivery service. The company has linked with local LA vendors Sprinkles (cupcakes), Twelve-Centimeter Bakery (macarons) and John Kelly Chocolates (truffles) for its one-time gift deliveries.
According to H.Bloom CEO Bryan Burkhart, the expansion to Los Angeles also includes a build out of the company's local operations, where the company is also hiring. H.Bloom is venture backed by Shasta Ventures, Battery Ventures, and angels Thomas Lehrman (Gerson Lehrman Group), and Peter Lehrman (axialMarkets), and is based in New York. The company's most notable investor is Brian Lee, the founder of ShoeDazzle and LegalZoom. Lee was a seed investor in H.Bloom.
