GoFundMe Buys YouCaring

San Diego- and Redwood City-based online crowdfunding site GoFundMe announced Tuesday afternoon that it has acquired YouCaring, another online fundraising site. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. YouCaring was founded in 2011, and was based in Redding, California. According to GoFundMe, it will transition new fundraisers on YouCaring to GoFundMe, while allowing existing fundraisers on Youcaring to continue to collect donations, with an opportunit to migrate to the GoFundMe platform. The companies said YouCaring was advised by SunTrust Robinson Humphrey in the deal.
