Genomatica Files For IPO
San Diego-based Genomatica, a developer of renewable chemicals technology, has filed for an IPO, saying today that it is looking to raise up to $100M in an IPO on the Nasdaq Global Market. Genomatica said it has applied to list under the symbol "GENO". The firm's IPO is being underwritten by Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, Jeffries, Piper Jaffray, and Raymond James. Genomatica is a developer of processes used to convert renewable feedstocks into high volume chemicals.The firm is venture backed by TPG biotechnology Partners, Mohr Davidow Ventures, VantagePoint Venture Partners, Alloy Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, WM Organic Growth, among others.
