GameSalad Boosts Users
Los Angeles- and Austin-based GameSalad, the developer of software tools for creating iPhone and other Apple iOS games, said this week that it has had its most successful week ever for the company, signing up more than 1,200 new users in the past week or so. The firm said the signups came after its launch of GameSalad Direct, the firm's Apple iOS publishing service. GameSalad's software tools allow users to create iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad games without having to know how to program, by using easy drag and drop tools and pre-built components. The firm is run by Michael Agustin, and was formerly known as Gendai Games. GameSalad's new GameSalad Direct allows users to publish games to the Apple App store easily, and helps cross market those games to users. GameSalad is one of the firm in the current LaunchpadLA class.
