GA-ASI Expands UAV Efforts In Japan
San Diego-based General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI), which manufactures military drone aircraft,s ays it is looking to expand in Japan. According to the firm, it is seeking to establish relationships with defense industry suppliers and related businesses in Japan. According to the company, it is looking to work with Japanese companies in the areas of IT, infrastructure, engineering, manufacturing, modeling and simulation. The company did not say if it has inked any partnerships with companies in Japan yet, but said it is recently showed off a flight demonstration of a UAS, collecting data that could be used for ongoing scientific research into areas such as changes in ocean temperature and maritime domain awareness.
