Frame.io Sets Up Shop In LA, After $50M Funding
Frame.io, which develops a video review and collaboration product used for content management, has raised $50M in a funding, and plans to set up an office in Los Angeles, the company said today. The startup--based in New York--said it raised a $50M, Series C funding round, from Insight Partners, Accel, FirstMark, SignalFire, and Shasta Ventures. The company said it plans to open up a combined office and showroom in Hollywood, which it says will not only house its LA-based employees, but will also host community events on a regular basis. Frame.io says it currently has around 110 employees, with plans to grow to 240; the company said it plans to open up its office and showroom in LA because "Hollywood is the center of the media universe." The company's founders have a background in post production.
