EVgo Adopts NACS Connectors
Los Angeles-based EVgo said today that it will begin deployment of the standard North American Charging Standard (NACS) connectors for electric vehicles later this year. The company said the addition of those connectors will allow it to serve both CCS and NACS vehicles. NACS is the standard used by Tesla Motors, whereas CCS is used by most other motor vehicle manufacturers. EVgo said it had an overall utilization rate of its network of approximately 19 percent in the first quarter of 2024, which is up from 9 percent in its first quarter of 2023.
