eSolar Adds $5M
Pasadena-based solar thermal power technology developer eSolar has expanded a recent funding round to $35M, according to a regulatory filing by the company today. The firm, which is using solar thermal power equipment to develop concentrating solar power plants, had raised $30M from Indian firm ACME Group back in March; according to the filing, it appears that the additional capital comes as an extension of the same funding deal. eSolar and ACME Group are in an deal to build 1,000 MW of solar power plants over the next 10 years in India.
