Entropic Adds Packet Aggregation
San Diego-based Entropic Communications announced Tuesday that the firm has added new packet aggregation capability to the firm's networking chipsets. The firm said that it has accelerated its throughput from 100 Mbps to 180 Mbps through the use of packet aggregation in its c.LINK MAC platforms. The firm said that the speed increase will allow network operators to build in bandwidth today for future advanced services. Entropic's chipsets are targeted at LAN and WAN networking of multimedia in the home.
