Emulex In Data Integrity Coalition
Costa Mesa-based Emulex is one of a coalition of data storage firms focused on a new data integrity effort. Emulex, LSI, Oracle, and Seagate announced today at Storage Networking World in San Diego, that they are in a technology collaboration to enable end-to-end data integrity for enterprise storage systems. The effort, which the firms said is an extension of the T10 Data Integrity Field (DIF) Standard, and uses both hardware and software data checking to ensure there is not corruption of storage data. The effort includes additional data checking at every stage of data transfer to ensure integrity of that data.
