Emulex Gets Win At HP

Costa Mesa-based Emulex reported a design win today at HP, saying that it will provide its 8Gb/s Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters to HP's new StorageWorks X3820 Network Storage System. Shipping volumes and financial impact of the design win was not disclosed. HP's system includes two Emulex LightPulse 8Gb/s Fibre Channel cards as part of a bundled system, to connect servers to the storage array. The product is targeted at small and mid-sized customers.
