EDF Renewables North America Signs Wind Operations Deal In Texas
San Diego-based EDF Renewables North America, which both develops renewable energy projects as well as provides operations and management services for those projects, reported on Monday that it has signed a new, multi-year operations and maintenance deal for wind projects in Texas. Financial details of that agreement were not announced. According to EDF Renewables, the deal was with Phoenix Wind Repower, LLC, a portfolio investment of a fund managed by the Infrastructure and Power strategy at Ares Management Corporation, and covers three wind projects in Texas, the Trinity Hills (225 MW), Sherbino Mesa II (145 MW), and Silver Star (60 MW) projects. EDF Renewables says its now manages over 2,300 megawatts of wind in Texas, totaling 15 projects and six turbine manufacturers.
