DreamHost Gets $288K For Employment Training
Los Angeles-based hosting provider Dreamhost has tapped into an interesting source of funding to help provide training to its employees: a grant from the State of California. The hosting provider said it has received $288,200 from the state's Employment Training Panel (ETP) to help provide training to its nearly 200 employees. The grant will provide it with license training software and executive leadership training. The company said it is the first web hosting company in California to take advantage of the grant program. The company said the funds are good for two years from the grant date, and will reimburse it for every dollar spent on training existing employees.
