DivX To Distribute Chrome

San Diego-based DivX said late Monday evening that it has inked a deal with Google to distribute Google's Chrome Browser alongside its video software tools. According to DivX, Google Chrome replaces third party software previously distributed by the firm. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. DivX said it will launch the effort in either Q1 or Q2 this year. DivX is a developer of video encoding and decoding software.
