Demand Media Revenues, Profits Up
Demand Media, the online media publishing firm headed by Richard Rosenblatt, reported record revenues and profitability, the firm said Monday afternoon, as its released its third quarter results. The firm's total revenues grew to $98.1M, up 20 percent from Q3 of 2011 when it reported revenues of $81.5M. The firm said it saw a growth of 33% in page views for its owned and operates site, over the similar quarter last year, as well as a 12% growth in domains. Demand Media was boosted by its video efforts and its partnership with YouTube, among other efforts. Demand Media also said it had not been impacted by the scandal around Lance Armstrong; Demand Media operates Livestrong.com in a partnership with the Livestrong Foundation.
