CUDDLY Connects With Funding For Software For Animal Rescue Groups
Seal Beach-based CUDDLY, a developer of software and technology to help non-profit, animal rescue organizations, announced on Tuesday afternoon that it has received an investment from an angel investor. CUDDLY said the investment came from Greg Kidd, the co-founder and CEO of globaliD, and founding partner of investment firm Hard Yaka. Size of the investment was not announced. As part of the funding, CUDDLY says it has launched a new product, CUDDLY ID, which will help pet rescues and shelters track and verify pet adoption applicants, powered by software from globaliD. CUDDLY is led by CEO and Founder John J. Hussey. CUDDLY's says it lets animal lovers purchase products from the wish lists of local shelters, and have them donated to those shelters directly; the service also lets users subscribe to a monthly box of wishlist items which it says it sends to those rescue shelters.
