Continuous Computing, Mindspeed Partner
San Diego-based Continuous Computing and Newport Beach-based Mindspeed said yesterday that the two companies are in a strategic agreement to integrate the two companies' hardware and software. The two said that they are integrating Continuous Computing's Trillium software with Mindspeed's High-Level Data Link Controller, a hardware devices used for implementing voice-over-IP media gateways and other 3G wireless network equipment. The deal pulls together software used by hardware manufacturers to implement the SS7 communications protocol from Continuous Computing with a chip used for connecting communications networks.
