ConnectedTravel, Universal Music Group Team On Hackathon
Los Angeles-based ConnectedTravel, a developer of connected vehicle applications and services, says it has teamed up with Universal Music Group, for a new hackathon which will "imagine next-generation music experiences" for connected vehicles. According to ConnectedTravel, it is in a collaboration with Universal Music Group's Capitol Music Group for the upcoming Capitol Royale Hackathon from November 15-17, 2019. The idea behind the hackathon is to create in-vehicle experiences through application programming interfaces (APIs) that are available from such companies as Ford, Toyota, and Subaru. Details of the collaboration were not announced. The hackathon wil be at the Capitol Records Building in Los Angeles. The company said the Grand Prize in the competition is $12,000, plus 20 hours of remote support, with lower level prizes including $2000 and tickets to shows at the iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles, and a third prize of $1000 plus five iPad Air 2's, and five Amazon Echo Dots.
