Conexant Shows Triple Play Chipset
Newport Beach-based Conexant has rolled out a new chipset for the DSL market, saying yesterday that it has introduced a new VSDL2/ADSL2plus convergence chipset. The new chipset targeted use in triple-play voice, video, and data equipment for broadband services. Conexant said that it has secured design wins for the its new Accelity-2 silicon at Calix, Huawei, NEC, Schmid Telecom, and ZTE. The new chipset is available in sample quantities now, with production scheduled for March.
