Cogent Scores Win In Texas
South Pasadena-based Cogent Systems, a developer of fingerprint identification systems, said today that the Texas Health & Human Services Commission has selected the company's systems. The deal covers replacement of its existing systems for applicants and recipients of food stamps in the state of Texas. Cogent said that the deal is worth approximately $8M. Cogent will provide customized software and configured hardware for the deal, which covers 340 health and human services offices throughout Texas.
