CerviLenz Gets $350K

CerviLenz, a firm developing a medical device for allowing obstetricians to measure cervical length in pregnant women, said last week that it has raised $350,000 in an investment. Cervilenz was developed by Dr. Michael Ross, a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist and Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, who serves as the company's chairman. The firm is based in Cleveland, Ohio, and the investment came from JumpStart Inc., a Northeast Ohio venture development organization, which will be assisting the firm with commercialization.
