CapLinked Launches Pitch Competition
Los Angeles-based CapLinked, the developer of an online platform for managing fundraising and investors, said this morning that it has launched a new pitch competition. According to the firm, the new competitoin is a way to help entrepreneurs get noticed and gain exposure for their companies, with the finalists invited to make a live, online "pitch-off" to a panel of judges. The firm said that judges for the competition come form Idealab, Rincon, Rapidfire, and Actarus, including Idealab's Alex Maleki and Rincon's Jim Andelman. Winners of the pitch-off will gain time with CapLinked's founders, press releases and other promotion from CapLinked, and will be featured in a video from TechZulu. CapLinked operates an online platform which helps companies manage their fundraising documents, due diligence information, company communications, and more, to help streamline communications with potential and existing investors. CapLinked was founded by Eric M. Jackson and Christopher Grey, and is backed by such investors as Peter Thiel, Dave McClure, and Joe Lonsdale.
