Cambridge Taps Evolution Robotics
Pasadena-based Evolution Robotics said this morning that Cambridge University's Machine Intelligence Laboratory will use the company's visual pattern recognition and navigation technology its its research. Evolution provides a robotics kit which provides visual pattern recognition and navigation ability, and can be customized by users. The Idealab company's products are targeted at universities and companies in the robotics research space, along with commercial applications. The Cambridge lab focuses on robotics research, including 3D object shape recovery, object and person-recognition, video surveillance, image-based localization, and human-machine interaction.
