BUZZMEDIA Further Boosts Sales Team
Hollywood-based BUZZMEDIA, the parent company of Buzznet, Celebuzz, Stereogum, and a network of other sites, is in the midst of expansion, saying this week that it has hired on four new additions to the firm's advertising team. According to the firm, it has named Aisling McDonagh as Senior Sales Director, Todd Dufour as Head of Influencer Marketing & Talent Relations, and Judith Heimowitz and Mary Michael Marlo as Directors of Integrated Marketing. McDonagh joins from Prevention Magazine at Rodale, and has also worked at Yahoo! and Excite@Home; Dufour joins from MySpace, where he was Executive Director, Integrated and Strategic Marketing, and also served at Brgaman Nyman Cafarelli. Heimowitz was most recently at Time, Inc., and Michael was most recently at Fanscape, and also had been at MySpace. BUZZMEDIA is venture backed by Anthem Ventures, Focus Ventures, Interscope, New Enterprise Associates, Redpoint Ventures, Sutter Hill Ventures, and Universal Music Group.
