Broadcom Fires Another Salvo At Qualcomm
Irvine-based Broadcom has filed another lawsuit against Qualcomm, saying today that it has file new litigation against Qualcomm claiming unfair competition, fraud, and breach of contract. Broadcom said it file a 37-page complaint in the California Superior Court in Orange Count late Thursday alleging Qualcomm concealed patents, reneged on licensing obligations, and exerting dominance through hidden affiliations in industry standards bodies. Broadcom is looking for disgorgement of profits, restitution, compensatory and punitive damages, and a permanent injunction in the case.
