Broadcom Debuts New Communications Processors
Irvine-based Broadcom debuted a new set of communications processors this week, aimed at use in hardware acceleration, virtualization, and deep packet inspection. BRoadcom said its new, multi-core communications processors, the XLP900 Series, is aimed at equipment manufacturers supporting high speed 4G LTE and LTE-Advanced services. Broadcom claimed the new communications processors are the world's highest performance, multi-core products available. Broadcom said it is now sampling the processors.
