Boingo Targets Windows Mobile, Expands Handset Coverage
Santa Monica-based WiFi network provider Boingo Wireless said Monday that it has added support for Windows Mobile 6 devices, along with support for Sony Ericsson UIQ devices. According to Boingo, Windows Mobile 6.0 device users can download its newest Wi-Fi software for its web site; the new version of software automatically connects users to Boingo's network of Wi-Fi providers. The company also said that its services will be used by Sony Ericsson UIQ 3.0 handset devices. The deal to include Boingo's software in the Sony Ericsson device is the second for Boingo, which also has a similar deal with Nokia. Financial terms of the Sony Ericsson deal were not disclosed.
