Boeing Eyes Connexion Sale
Boeing is eyeing the sale of its Connexion Internet access service, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal today. Irvine-based Connexion by Boeing develops systems that allow passengers to connect to the Internet via a high speed satellite link. The in-flight Internet service, which is currently in use on Lufthansa, Japan Airlines, and Singapore Airlines, has not seen demand from U.S. airlines, the report said. The WSJ said that SES Global SA, Inmarsat PLC, and Loral Space & Communications were among possible buyers. The paper cited unidentified sources in its article.
