AudioMicro Partners With Microsoft On Music, Sound Effects
Los Angeles-based AudioMicro, the startup headed by Ryan Born, said Friday morning that it has partnered with Microsoft. According to the company, it will provide Office.com users with music and sound effects for their projects. Financial details of the licensing and distribution deal were not disclosed. AudioMicro provides a library of royalty-free sound effects and music for use on projects. The Office.com deal allows Microsoft Office 2010 users to import those sound effects and music into Office applications. Separately, AudioMicro revealed Friday that it ha added Sean Percival as an advisor; Percival is VP of Online Marketing for MySpace, and is also known for his founding of LA technology culture blog Lalawag.
