AT&T Links With Esports Events Firm ESL
AT&T said on Monday that it has linked up with esports event organizer ESL, saying that it will provide charging stations and free Wi-Fi, plus will promote its 5G wireless at ESL's events. According to AT&T, it will become the Official Telecommunications and Mobile Gaming Partner of ESL North America, taking part in events such as the Arena of Valor Pro League, the E3 ESL Arena, ESL One New York, and Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) North America. Financial details of the partnership deal was not announced. The collaboration was announced over the weekend in Burbank, at AT&T's annual SHAPE event. AT&T recently has been focusing on its presence in the Los Angeles area, as a result of its ongoing efforts to merge with Warner Bros. A banner from last year's SHAPE event; AT&T held the event again over the weekend in Burbank.
