AppOnboard Gives Away Instant App Software For Free

Los Angeles-based AppOnboard says it has begun giving away its codeless app development software, AppOnboard Studio, to help developers create "instant apps" and playable ads, as well as prototypes. The startup--led by startup veteran Jonathan Zweig--said the free version of its software makes it easy for people to design and build interactive versions of their mobile apps and games. AppOnboard has been offering up to the tool to many mobile game developers, to help them offer up game previews. The company said its tool is already being used by such app developers as Kabam, Glu Mobile, Jam City, Huuuge Games, FoxNext, Zynga, Outfit7, Game Insight, Wargaming, Seriously, Kongregate, NCSOFT, Big Fish Games and Mammoth Media. AppOnboard said that a number of those developers have been using its tool to build "instant apps" for Google Play, to help them measure user interest in their games before investing in developing their main app for Android. AppOnboard explains that many of its developer had previously only built apps for iOS.
