AppliedVR Links Into VA
Los Angeles-based virtual reality technology developer AppledVR said this morning that it has linked into the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), via the VHA Innovation Ecosystem program. According to AppliedVR, the two will explore various use cases for cutting edge VR programs within the VA system. Financial details of the deal were not announced. AppliedVR said the Bruce Carter Miami VA Medical Center will run a pilot of AppliedVR's VR care program, RiseVR, to comfort veterans in hospice and improve their quality of life. AppliedVR said it hopes that after that pilot, that additional VA medical centers will adopt the program.
