Anchore Gets $5M For Software Container Security
Santa Barbara-based Anchore, which is developing security software aimed at the "container" market, has raised $5M in a funding round, the company disclosed this morning. The funding came from local angel Andreas von Blottnitz, along with Doug Carlisle of Menlo Ventures. Anchore is led by Said Ziouani, a veteran of Eucalyptus and Ansible. Ziouani sold Ansible to Red Hat in 2015, and prior to that had spent more than 10 years at Red Hat; Anchore's co-founder is Daniel Nurmi, former Distinguished Technologist at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Co-Founder and CTO of Eucalyptus Systems.
