Alelo Lands Ambassador Bremer For Board
Los Angeles-based Alelo, the USC spinout which is applying gaming technology to help teach languages and cultures to both the military and civilians, said last week that it has added Ambassador L. Paul Bremer, III, to its board. Bremer was most recently the American Ambassador to the Netherlands, Ambassador-at-Large for Counter-Terrorism, and Presidential Envoy to Iraq. Alelo, which is led by Dr. W. Lewis Johnson, is applying technology initially developed at the University of Southern California, which uses video game technology to help learn languages and cultures. Alelo's products are being used to teach culturally sensitive language skills to the U.S. military in Iraq and Afghanistan, among other regions of the world.
