AeroVironment Rolls Out Finance Program For EV Chargers
Aerovironment, the developer of electric vehicle charging systems (as well as unmanned aerial vehicles), said today that it has rolled out a new program which will make it easier for consumers to buy its home chargers. The firm, which makes chargers for both electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), said that consumers can now finance the cost of their chargers in combination with a vehicle, at the time of a sale.
Aerovironment said the financing is rolling out in a program with dealers, also bundled with warranty options. AeroVironment is a developer of Levle 2, 240 volt residential charging stations, which cut charging time on most vehicles from up to 22 hours for a charge, down to 3 and 8 hours. The firm's charging stations are the preferred chargers for the Nissan LEAF, BMW ActivE, and Mitsubishi i-MiEV.
