AcuFocus Raises $66M

Irvine-based opthalmic device maker AcuFocus has raised $66M in funding, according to the company. The new funding round was led by KKR. According to AcuFocus, the new funding will go towards accelerating its commercialization plans, and for research and development projects. AcuFocus makes implantable, corneal lenses used to treat presbyopia--or near sightedness--as well as cataracts. More information »
